City of San Fernando—The number of barangays now in floodwater in the towns of Masantol and Macabebe has now increased due to heavy monsoon rains aggravated by the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) affecting most of the country.

Reports from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Pampanga said that some 34 barangays in the coastal towns of Masantol and Macabebe are now flooded.

Some 26 barangays in Masantol are now in floodwater with flooding reaching as high as 1.5 feet in some areas like Santo Nino, San Isidro Matua and Santa Lucia Paguiba among others.

Another 8 barangays in Macabebe are also flooded due to combined tidal and fluvial waters. These include Tacasan, Castuli, San Juan, San Gabriel, Candelaria, Saplad David, Santa Lutgarda and San Esteban.

Flooding is expected to rise in some areas as monsoon rains continue due to the LPA still prevailing in most of Luzon. The LPA was estimated based on all available data at 255 km Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 280 km East of Davao City (7.0°N, 128.2°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon.
