More Fernandinos get 'negosyo' kits, aid

MORE Fernandinos are receiving "negosyo" packages and other business aid as part of the social and economic recovery and rehabilitation program of the City Government of San Fernando in Pampanga, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

Recently, some 150 Fernandinos received the “negosyo” packages consisting of sacks of rice, groceries, and food manufacturing equipment.

During the distribution, more than 200 sacks of rice of assorted brands and 20 weighing scales were turned over by Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin and CSWDO staff.

Earlier, grocery packages containing laundry soaps, hair products, canned goods, condiments, and coffee packs, along with food manufacturing equipment such as steamers, food processors, mixers, oven toasters, blenders, among others, were distributed on August 31.

The said packages were given to 30 groups that have five members each.

The beneficiaries were solo parents, San Fernando women’s groups, Kalipi (Kalipunan Ng Mga Liping Pilipina), local members of 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program), LGBT community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender), and persons with disabilities, among others.

The beneficiaries will sell the products in their respective communities as their means of livelihood. (JTD)
