WITH the continuing fight against the pandemic, the Department of Health (DOH) has administered nearly two million booster shots of Covid-19 vaccines.

Based on the May 23 bulletin of DOH-Central Luzon, a total of 1,999,363 individuals from the region have received their single-dose booster shots.

The said number is equivalent to 19.39 percent of the target population of 10,250,309 in the region.

The booster shot is given to individuals who have received their complete dose of initial vaccines — one shot for Janssen and two shots for other brands of vaccines.

On the same bulletin, DOH reported that some 8,262,412 individuals are fully inoculated and may receive their booster shots.

The health agency continue to urge the public, especially those who have not received their initial vaccines, to get jabbed in the nearest vaccination site in their area.
