THE newly installed chief of police in Mabalacat City, Pampanga has instructed her men to clean and sanitize every corner of police stations where they are assigned.

Lieutenant Colonel Soledad L. Elefanio issued the directive when she made a surprise inspection of all police precincts in the city, few days after she assumed post as city police chief on May 18.

Elefanio said this is in line with the order of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gillermo T. Eleazar.

The new city police head relayed to officers and personnel of Mabalacat City police the Internal Cleansing Policy of the Philippine National Police chief, saying it should be strictly followed.

She instructed the Community Police Action Center (Compac) commanders to clean their Compacs to make them presentable to visitors.

Elefanio said in this way, the PNP will regain the public’s trust and confidence.

The chief of police said she will personally check Compacs and the custodial facility unannounced so that personnel will not be complacent in adhering to said directive.
