'Nika' floods portions of Pampanga's 4th district

THREE towns located in Pampanga's fourth district were submerged in floodwaters following the onslaught of Tropical Depression "Nika."

Based on the reports of respective Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management offices, portions of Apalit, Macabebe and Masantol towns experienced flooding Tuesday, October 13.

As of Tuesday noon, one barangay in Apalit, 18 in Macabebe and 17 in Masantol were flooded by up to four feet.

Kalsadang Bayu in Masantol town also became impassable to light vehicles due to flooding brought about by rain and high tide level.

All flooded municipalities have areas that are located along the Pampanga River and are at the downstream part of the province.
