No confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mabalacat yet

NO CONFIRMED cases of Covid-19 were reported in Mabalacat City, Pampanga as of Friday, March 27.

The City Government issued an update stating that as March 26, 2020, Mabalacat has no confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease.

The City Health Office reported that there are 17 patients under investigation (PUIs) and 452 persons under monitoring (PUMs).

The local government urged the public to relay any information or emergencies to the Covid-19 Pampanga hotline numbers 0966 226 1544 Globe, 0908 682 9944 Smart, and the Mabalacat City Health Office at 0943 705 0185.

Mayor Cris Garbo reiterated his appeal to the people to stay home while the enhanced community quarantine is still in effect.

“Nakikiusap po ako sa ating mga kababayan na manatili sa kani-kanilang mga bahay upang mapigilan natin ang paglaganap nitong nakamamatay na virus na ito,” the mayor said.

Governor Dennis Pineda has ordered for a total lockdown two days ago to prevent the spread of the virus in the province.

The Philippine National Police in Pampanga has arrested more than 500 persons violating the quarantine guidelines.

The city government has started distributing food packs to PUMs, PUIs, and indigent residents.
