THE alleged leader of a notorious criminal gang was arrested by authorities during an anti-illegal drugs operation launched recently in the City of San Fernando in Pampanga.

Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Director Valeriano De Leon identified the suspect as Jericho Palacio, alias "Kokok/Balugbug," a resident of Barangay San Pedro Cutud, City of San Fernando.

De Leon said the suspect is the leader of Sinio Criminal Gang and has been categorized as Target Listed Drug Personality.

He said Palacio was initially apprehended in Barangay San Juliana for possession of illegal drugs, in which 10 sachets of methampethamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated value P13,600 and other personal belongings were seized from his possession.

Palacio’s identification and further investigation revealed that he is the leader of the notorious Sinio Carnapping Gang and is also involved in illegal drugs, motornapping and robbery (akyat bahay) in the City of San Fernando.

“With the stern implementation of the Intensified Cleanliness Policy, lawless elements are being arrested and society is being rid of criminals giving the public a safer place to live, work and do business,” said De Leon.
