Nueva Ecija records 8 more Covid-19 cases

CABANATUAN CITY -- The Nueva Ecija Interagency Task Force has confirmed eight more positive cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as of April 1.

According to Governor Aurelio Umali, there are now 23 Covid-19 positive cases in the province.

The eight new cases are from the municipalities of an Isidro and Sta. Rosa with two each, and one each from General Natividad, Quezon, Cabanatuan City and Gapan City.

Umali said the patient from General Natividad passed away on April 1 due to the disease. The fatality is a nurse from Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center and is the first casualty of Covid-19.

He said contract tracing is continuously being done to identify those who have had contact with the patients.

Umali added that two patients have recovered and have been sent home. (PIA-Central Luzon)

Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
