CLARK FREEPORT -- Employees of two big shopping malls in Olongapo City recently gave treats to some local children.

SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown activated the traditional annual gift giving to kids with their "ChriSMiles" activity, a nationwide employee volunteerism project that aims to bring joy to chosen beneficiaries.

The program encourages all SM employees to share their blessings to underprivileged members of society.

During the activity, kids enjoyed the games prepared by the host with the participation of volunteers.

The children were also treated to a mall tour, movie screening at SM Cinema with snacks provided, and gift giving.

One of the beneficiaries, Ilalim elementary school showed their talent in an interpretative dance while East Tapinac Day Care pupils rendered a modern dance.

"ChriSMiles is giving something willingly without wanting something in return, it makes someone feel special. Furthermore, this activity is an inspiration, a way to become a better person, friend , employee and employer," Ariel Ferrer, SM City Olongapo Central assistant mall manager, said.
