Onion prices in Pampanga under daily monitoring - DTI

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Pampanga has assured strictly monitoring the prices of onion in the province.

DTI-Pampanga Director Elenita Ordonio said a team from their office was tasked to conduct daily visits on the public markets to check the prices of onion.

“Since the holidays until yesterday, the prices of onion in the province ranges between ?600 to ?700 per kilo, both red and white types,” Ordonio said.

Ordonio said the monitoring is also conducted to assist the Department of Agriculture DA in the possible formulation of suggested retail prices (SRPs) of onion.

“We are hopeful that the prices will go down in the coming days so it will be affordable to every Kapampangan and Filipino families again,” she said.
