Over P100,000 shabu seized in San Fernando

A SUSPECTED drug peddler was arrested by local police during an anti-illegal drug operation launched in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on Friday, November 19, 2021.

Citing a report from this city's chief of police Lieutenant Colonel John Clark, Pampanga Police Provincial Office Director Colonel Robin Sarmiento identified the suspect as Daniel Latid, 24.

Sarmiento said Latid sold a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to an undercover police officer during the operation held in Barangay San Isidro, City of San Fernando.

During the arrest, Latid yielded more sachets of suspected shabu that weighed around 15 grams and had an estimated street value of P102,000.

The P500 marked money used in the operation and other personal belongings were also confiscated from the suspect.

Charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2021 are being readied for filing in court against the suspect.
