P300,000 worth of drugs seized in Bataan drug bust

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Two suspected drug personalities were arrested by combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon and Philippine National Police (PNP) in an operation launched in Bataan.

PDEA-Central Luzon Regional Director Christian Frivaldo identified the suspects as Angelito Santos, 59, and Relly Bautista, 31, both residents of Orani, Bataan.

Frivaldo said Santos is included in the PDEA-PNP unified target list.

Confiscated from both suspects were some 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated street value of P300,000 and the buy-bust money.

A charge for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26 paragraph B (conspiracy to sell) of the Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
