THE number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga has reached a total of 17,377 infections, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

The DOH said that 182 cases were recorded on May 6 alone.

Of the total number of cases, 15,210 have recovered, while some 1,624 remained active cases.

The province has recorded 2,253 new cases in the last 14 days.

Some 543 deaths have been recorded in Pampanga since the start of the pandemic.

Of the 47 health facilities in Pampanga, occupancy rate is high at 72.5 percent for the 1,322 beds in the province.

Some 958 of hospital beds in the 47 health facilities are currently occupied while 364 remain vacant.
