Pampanga Covid-19 cases reach 7,949

CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in Pampanga have now reached a total of 7,949, according to the latest report of the provincial government of Pampanga.

Of the said number, some 7,035 cases have already recovered while some 488 remain active along with 52 new reported cases, as of February 23.

Since the start of the pandemic, some 426 deaths have been attributed to the virus. The province's major cities have since broken the 1,000-mark for recorded coronavirus cases. Angeles City had recorded 1,757 confirmed cases with 1,513 recoveries and 107 deaths.

Mabalacat City had also recorded a total of 1,115 confirmed cases, as of press time, with 984 recoveries and 26 deaths. The City of San Fernando had recorded some 1,730 cases, with 1, 561 recoveries and 77 deaths.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
