Pampanga Covid cases reach 18,857

CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in Pampanga have reached a total of 18,857 cases with some 127 recorded on Sunday, May 16, 2021, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

DOH reports also placed the number of reported recoveries at 16,945 cases, with some 1,317 remaining as active cases. However, provincial data differ as the Pampanga Information Office reported some 2,644 active cases, as of May 15.

Some 595 people have died of the virus since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Information from the Pampanga Information Office, however, placed the number of deaths at 813.

Pampanga had recorded some 1,590 new cases in the last 14 days.

The City of San Fernando still had the most number of active cases at 716 followed by Mabalacat City at 472.

Guagua town had the most number of active cases among municipalities at 165 followed by Magalang and Mexico at 138 and 135, respectively.

Most of the recorded deaths came from the province’s three main cities and densely populated towns like Guagua and Porac.
