PAMPANGA Governor Dennis Pineda said some P309.6 million have been given out by the Provincial Government of Pampanga to the youth sector under its Educational Financial Assistance program.

From 2019 to September 2021, the Pampanga provincial government has helped 64,543 youths to graduate from college or take board exams. Grade 12 and students under the Alternative Learning System are also given assistance. The program aims to pay attention to the basic needs of students in the province, especially in this time of the pandemic. The financial assistance aims to support the students in their financial needs.

Just this week, some 690 senior high school students in Candaba town received financial assistance. Each scholar from Bahay Pare National High School (254 scholars), Mangga High School (49) and Pasig National High School (387) each received P 2,500 with the help of the Governor's Office, Provincial Library and Provincial Treasurer's Office.

This also included some 381 public Grade 12 students from Masantol town.

“Education is the key to the development of themselves, their families and villages as well as our beloved province,” Pineda said.

Pineda added that the Provincial Government is committed to support the education of the less privileged sectors of the youth even during the ongoing pandemic.
