Pampanga hog raisers get piglets

SAN SIMON The Department of Agriculture (DA) Central Luzon distributed piglets to farmers affected by African Swine Fever (ASF) in the town of San Simon on August 16, Tuesday.

This is part of the INSPIRE or Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion program.

It aims to revive the swine sector and assist pig farmers recover from their losses.

Some 26 hog raisers in the town received three piglets each.

SunStar Pampanga learned that 34 more farmers from San Simon are set to receive piglets in the next few days.

The DA also distributed disinfectants, antibiotics, and vitamins to the hog raisers.
