"I AM very thankful to our Speaker, our majority leader and my fellow congressmen for their trust and confidence in me. Rest assured that I will perform my duties as Deputy Speaker and Deputy Majority Floor Leader to the best of my abilities."

So said Pampanga Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo “Rimpy” P. Bondoc as he took his oath of office before Speaker Lord Allan Velasco at the House of Representatives on Monday, December 7, 2020.

The Kapampangan lawmaker has earlier been designated as Deputy Speaker and Deputy Majority Leader, two top posts he would simultaneous assume which is reportedly a “first” in the House of Representatives.

Bondoc said he hopes to use the positions entrusted to him “to make a more significant contribution to the district, the province and the nation.”

He was accompanied by his wife, Paula, during the oathtaking ceremony at the House of Representatives in Quezon City.
