Pampanga MSMEs biggest sales generators in trade fair

MICRO, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) posted the biggest physical stores sales during the first five days of the ongoing Central Luzon Hybrid Likha Trade Fair, an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to help aspiring businesses rebound and boost economic recovery from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

DTI Central Luzon Director Leonila T. Baluyut said of the P5.33 million worth of local products sold in physical stores by MSMEs from the seven provinces in the region, Pampanga recorded P2,188,665 followed by Bataan with P922,301 and Zambales with P866,330 from October 13 to 17, 2021.

The other MSMEs from Aurora generated P626,342; Bulacan – P368,863; Nueva Ecija – P251,280; and Tarlac – P106,187.

In terms of online sales, Bulacan trade fair participants generated a total of P5.47 million through the online platform of Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair while Zambales MSMEs sold a total of P136,400 worth of products, bringing the total combined physical stores and online sales to P10.9-million in five days.

Baluyut announced that because of the positive sales figures, the trade fair will continue up to October 31, 2021, through its online selling portal accessible through Facebook and the Likha ng Central Luzon website.

She added that the 23rd year of the Likha Trade Fair continued this year through a hybrid trade fair style to enable MSMEs to exhibit their quality products online and on physical platforms.
