Pampanga Provincial Board holds inaugural session

THE Pampanga Provincial Board (PB) held its first inaugural session on Monday, July 11 at the Capitol’s Legislative Building signaling the opening of the 11th Provincial Board with four new board members.

The session which was held at the Legislative Building of the Capitol was attended by Governor Dennis Pineda and presided by Vice Governor Lilia Pineda who were both elected to fresh terms in the recent local elections.

Vice Governor Pineda welcomed the new legislative batch as she urged each member to pursue grassroots legislation that would promote the welfare of ordinary Kapampangans. She added that the provincial board will continuously build on the achievements of the previous provincial board and advance legislation on education, health and social services.

Governor Pineda, for his part, thanked the previous provincial board for their service. Pineda is set to pursue a 12-point agenda that will bring provincial services closer to the barangays. Pineda said that the current board will play a crucial role in bringing the agenda into fruition through legislative support.
