THE Provincial Government of Pampanga has been chosen by the Department of Agriculture (DA) as one of the beneficiaries of the Rice Productivity Enhancement Project, which aims to help rice farmers boost their production through sustainable farming technology.

This was revealed by Governor Dennis Pineda, who posted a video of a recent meeting with Secretary William Dar of the DA.

The project involved a funding of P150 million, which will focus on drip irrigation technology as part of the program assistance. The project is hoped to bring new technology to rice production in the province to better help farmers improve their yield.

Pineda thanked Dar for the assistance, adding that farmers in Pampanga need all the help they can get especially during the pandemic.
