Pampanga villages under water after 'Maring' pours

RECENT rains brought by Tropical Storm “Maring” have left some 22 barangays in two coastal towns of Pampanga in floodwater, according to the latest report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

The PDRRMO said high tide and fluvial flooding have left 11 barangays in Masantol town flooded. Most of the areas flooded reported an average of one-foot depth of flooding.

Flooded areas included San Isidro Matua, Santa Lucia Wakas, Santa Lucia Paguiba, San Nicolas, Santo Nino, Bebe Anac, San Agustin, Santa Monica, Bagang, Nugui and Sagrada.

Another 11 barangays in Macabebe were also flooded with 2.5 feet of floodwater in some areas. These include Saplad David, Santo Nino, Sant Rita, San Isidro, San Vicente, Candelaria, San Jose, Caduang Tete, Tacasan, San Gabriel and Sta. Lutgarda.
