THE warehouse of a pastry shop in Clark Freeport was razed on August 15.

The warehouse, where finished products of La Rose Noire Philippines are stored, was gutted by fire around 2 a.m. Sunday, August 15. A fire-out was declared around 9 a.m.

According to Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan, damage to the pastry shop warehouse was “extensive but could not be estimated yet.”

Pamintuan lauded the efforts of CDC Marshals and Bureau of Fire Protection personnel from neighboring local government units in putting out the fire.

The CDC chairman said La Rose Noire is one of the biggest income generating locators in the Freeport.

Hong Kong-based La Rose Noire opened its state-of-the-art factory in Clark in 2012. Their production center in Clark has over 2,000 staff working in an over 150,000 square foot area to meet the demands from over 40 countries.
