PDEA nabs 3 in Bataan anti-drugs operation

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Three suspected illegal drug personalities were arrested during an entrapment operation launched in Bataan recently.

The suspects were identified as Joan Daca, Gilbert Daca and Zaldy Cruz, all from Orion, Bataan.

A total of 13 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P88,400, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money were recovered from the suspects.

A make-shift drug den, allegedly operated by the suspects, was dismantled by authorities.

The operation was initiated by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency PDEA Bataan and the Bataan police.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are now being readied against the suspects.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
