Pelco-3 announces 10-hour power interruption

THE National Power Grid Corporation (NGCP) has announced a 10-hour power interruption to be experienced by consumers of Pampanga III Electric Cooperative (Pelco-3).

The power interruption is scheduled for Saturday, July 21, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will affect all substations of Pelco-3 located in the towns of Sto. Tomas, Minalin, San Simon, Apalit, Macabebe and Masantol towns, the NGCP reported.

The NGCP cited various reasons for the scheduled power interruption which includes installation of pole extensions on existing two poles, replacement of post insulator, replacement of rusted and corroded insulators, and conduct of other preventive and corrective measures on the NGCP lines.

The NGCP is asking for the understanding and consideration of PELCO-3 consumers as they conduct the said measures aimed at further improving the delivery of its services for consumers’ benefit.
