SOME 45 barangays in Pampanga’s two coastal towns are now flooded due to rains brought by Tropical Storm Pepito, according to the report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).

Some 26 barangays in Masantol town have been flooded as of Thursday, October 22, 2020, at an average of one to two feet in certain areas. The floodwaters have been aggravated by high tide and floodwater coming from upstream areas.

Some 19 barangays in Macabebe town are also flooded with certain areas experiencing flooding as high as three to four feet.

Pepito is forecast to turn more northwestward by Friday. It is likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility Friday morning or afternoon.

On the forecast track, the tropical cyclone will turn more westward and accelerate beginning on Friday and will head towards the central portion of Vietnam.
