THE Philippine National Police paid tribute to health workers in Central Luzon who, like them, are in the frontline in the fight against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Police gathered in front of hospitals to render their snappiest salute, offer songs and prayers and turn over personal protective equipment and other essentials.

In a statement, Police Regional Director Rhodel Sermonia said the activity is their way of showing gratitude to health workers as they continue to perform their duties amidst the danger they are facing every day.

“We salute our doctors, nurses, medical staff and all members of the health sector who just like us, keep on doing their jobs even if they are at risks of being inflicted with Covid-19. This is our simple way of uplifting and boosting their morale and making them feel that their sacrifices are not left unnoticed,” Police Brigadier General Sermonia added. (PIA-Central Luzon)
