Police arrest 39 in illegal gambling op

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Dozens of individuals were arrested during a single day anti-gambling operations launched in Central Luzon on Saturday.

Angeles City police operatives net five persons in Barangay Malabanias for playing illegal card games.

Some 12 players of the Monte card game were also arrested in an operation launched in Barangay Saguin, this capital city.

In Tarlac, 20 individuals engaged in quajo games were collared by local police in separate operations across the province.

Two players of cara y cruz were likewise collared in Marilao, Bulacan.

Police were also able to recover decks of cards, and a total of P19,405 cash during the operations.
