Porac cops help woman give birth

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Two policemen from Porac town on Wednesday extended assistance to a woman giving birth.

Police Corporal Michael Lucas and Patrolman Quenrie Manaloto were patrolling along Barangay Manibaug, Porac when they were flagged down by a group of people.

Upon checking, the cops discovered that a woman on board a tricycle was about to give birth.

The people were initially asking for the policemen to take the pregnant woman to a hospital but she suddenly gave birth.

Manaloto immediately checked on the baby who was not crying and moving. The policewoman managed to clean and resuscitate the baby.

The police officers brought the woman and his baby to the Jose Songco Lapid District Hospital through the help of the Quick Response Team.

The family of the woman expressed gratitude for the quick response of the policemen which led to the safe delivery of the child.
