Porac teacher is DepEd TV awards winner

A KAPAMPANGAN teacher from Porac took home the honors in the Department of Education’s (DepEd's) first-ever DepEd TV Awards that recognizes the outstanding performance of teacher-broadcasters (TBs) and production teams of the program.

Filipino teacher Marilyn Escoto, 44, of Pulungmasle National High School was recently honored as DepEd TV National Teacher Broadcaster, Jury's Choice Awardee, and National Winner in the DepEd TV Philippines’ for Best Children's Program where she will represent the Philippines in the Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore in December.

Escoto is also a Batch 2 Delta B Scholar. During his visit to the Capitol, she thanked Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda for his continued help to teachers like her.

Meanwhile, Pineda promised support for Escoto for her trip to Singapore. Second District Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon and Anthony Joseph "Tonton" Torres also extended their support.

DepED TV Awards is expected to be held annually to add motivation to the TBs and production teams as they continue to create high-quality and world-class educational TV lessons.
