THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon, together with the Department of Health (DOH), broke ground Monday, August 19, for the construction of a new health service infirmary located in Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando.

PRO Regional Director Brigadier General Joel Coronel and DOH Secretary Francisco Duque led the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Philippine National Police-Regional Health Service III Infirmary.

Duque said the construction of the infrastructure has a budget of P4,455,000, funded through the National Government's General Appropriations Act 2019 for Health Facilities Enhancement Program.

The government has allocated some P15 billion for Health Facilities Enhancement Program for 2019, which covers upgrading of health facilities through investments in infrastructure and medical equipment.

Coronel, for his part, expressed gratitude to DOH for granting the new infrastructure project, which will be beneficial for the medical needs of Central Luzon policemen and their dependents.

"In behalf of the entire PRO-3 family, I would like to express our sincerest thanks and deepest gratitude for this life-saving undertaking. We look forward to the day that we will be inaugurating this new infirmary," Coronel said.
