FOURTH District Representative Juan Pablo Bondoc has called on Kapampangans to avoid being instruments in the further spread of the coronavirus in the community.

Bondoc's call came amid the continuous spike in the number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga and the whole country.

He said Covid-19 cases in Pampanga have more than doubled since the quarantine restrictions have been eased.

Several municipalities in the province's Fourth District which were virus-free during enhanced and modified enhanced community quarantine such as Minalin, San Luis and Masantol now also have growing number of cases.

"The virus will not spread by itself. It needs carriers, so I ask everyone not to be instruments in the further spread of virus and instead be mindful of the protocols set by the government so we can protect ourselves and others," Bondoc said.

He also urged the public to practice of proper hygiene and always wear face mask and observe social distancing, saying these are still the best ways to fight the virus.

"Always remember that being safe is also keeping your family and loved ones safe from the virus," he said.
