CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The Department of Health Region III (DOH-3) reminded the public to observe minimum health standards amidst the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

“Covid-19 infection still exists and is spreading. The public is reminded and encouraged to practice minimum public health standards,” the health agency said.

Among the prescribed health protocols are frequent hand washing, updating of Covid-19 vaccines, observance of physical distancing, and adherence to isolation protocols and management.

Wearing of facemasks in indoor private and public establishments, including in public transportation, and outdoor settings where physical distancing cannot be maintained also remains mandatory.

For open-spaces and non-crowded outdoor areas with good ventilation, wearing of facemasks is voluntary.

DOH-3 reminded the public after Central Luzon logged 1,027 new Covid-19 cases from May 14 to 20 — the highest weekly tally in the past months.
