'Quinta' floods Candaba's major roads

SEVERAL roads in Candaba town in Pampanga were not passable to all types of vehicles due to deep flooding brought by Tropical Storm Pepito and Typhoon Quinta Tuesday, October 27.

Based on the report of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), portions of Candaba-San Miguel road (Dukma area) and Candaba-Baliuag road in Barangay San Agustin were not passable to all types of vehicles.

Motorists were also not advised to pass by the Mapaniqui-Anyatam and Dulong Ilog-Paligui roads as floodwaters continue to rise in the area.

MDRRMO also reported that seven sitios of Barangay San Agustin are submerged in up to two feet of flood.

It added that the office is set to implement pre-emptive evacuation in case floodwaters continue to rise, especially on the Pampanga riverside.
