CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- A social media sensation and rap artist was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon over the weekend for alleged involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs.

PDEA-Central Luzon Director Gil Pabilona said the suspect, identified as Arnly Dimabuyu, famously known as “Xander Bay”, was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation launched in front of a bar in Friendship Hi-way, Barangay Cut-cut, Angeles City.

Dimabuyu, known for his “hugot” videos and fliptop (rap battle) videos on Youtube, is considered a high-value target due to allegedly being a source of marijuana and various party drugs to his followers.

Seized from Dimabuyu were a sachet containing five grams of marijuana and nine pieces of pink ecstasy with an estimated street value of P15,900.00 and the buy-bust money.

The suspect is now detained in PDEA jail facility while charges for violation of RA 9165 Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) are being prepared against him.
