CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC)-Central Luzon downgraded Sunday evening, January 19, its alert status from blue to white following the positive development on Taal Volcano's situation.

RDRRMC-Central Luzon chairperson Ma. Theresa Escolano noted on Memorandum 006 Series of 2020 that there were no significant updates from the council's member-agencies and local DRRMCs, thus the downgrading of alert status.

All concerned agencies were instructed to submit their terminal reports to validate the effects of the Taal Volcano eruption in the region, Escolano said.

She added that continuous monitoring must still be conducted to ensure the safety and security of constituents for any eventuality.
