SAN Fernando's City Health Office (CHO) is on its last day of vaccine rollout for the A1 priority group or the members of the healthcare community.

From the 1,231 doses of Sinovac and 940 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines given by the national government, 1,717 Fernandinos were vaccinated, as of 2 p.m. of April 15, 2021. This was due to the consistent vaccination activity of the City Health Office led by officer-in-charge Dr. Carlos B. Mercado and Dr. Iris Rose Muñoz, National Immunization Program Manager.

The CHO has targeted to vaccinate next week the second priority group, which are the senior citizens, once the LGU receives the vaccines from the national government.

“For today, inuubos natin yung A 1.6 and 1.7 and yung mga na-defer noon. After this, A2 na tayo, yung mga senior citizens natin and hopefully mag-start na tayo next week. Hinihintay lang nating dumating yung mga bakuna from the DOH [Department of Health],” Muñoz explained.

The CHO also encourages Fernandinos to participate in the City’s vaccination program by scanning the QR code and answering the pre-registration form posted on the official Facebook Page of the City Information Office. (PR)
