CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The city government here on Thursday, March 30, turned over house and lot titles, and financial assistance to scores of residents.

Some 79 Fernandinos received the titles of their respective houses under the Marcos Jr. administration's “Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino” program through the Social Housing Finance Corporation.

The 79 recipients are now residents of Saint Rosary Village in Barangay Del Rosario.

Meanwhile, some 330 residents received financial assistance from the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

These are part of Mayor Vilma Caluag's social welfare and development agenda.

The assistance to individuals in crisis situations or AICS can be used by the recipients for medical and hospital expenses.

Caluag said the city government under her administration is willing to give help to every needy Fernandino and their families.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
