THE City Government of San Fernando was able to vaccinate some 12,720 individuals on the first two days of the three-day national vaccination drive.

City Health Office (CHO) data, posted in a release on the city’s official Facebook page, showed that on November 29 and 30, “the city inoculated 6,878 and 5,842 individuals, respectively, in all vaccination sites—higher than its daily target of only 5,670.”

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago reported this accomplishment to Yohannes Getahun of the World Health Organization and Charlie Sanchez of the Department of Health, who visited the last day of the national vaccination drive on December 1, 2021 at Heroes Hall.

The visitors were assisted by Dr. Carlos Mercado, City Health officer-in-charge, and Dr. Jaira Natividad, City Rural Health physician and Heroes Hall vaccination center supervisor.

The three key officials extended their gratitude to the vaccinees for supporting the government’s drive in achieving herd immunity, making the nation safe from Covid-19.

The latest vaccination activities brought San Fernando's total vaccinated individuals to 217,795 who received the first dose and 166,098 who got fully vaccinated as of November 30.
