San Fernando police chief, unit cited for accomplishment

THE City of San Fernando police office was once again hailed for consistent and outstanding accomplishments.

Police Lieutenant Colonel John Lopez Clark, chief of police, received a plaque of merit as the “Outstanding Police Community Affairs Development (PCAD) Senior Police Commissioned Officer” for 2021 during the culmination of the 26th Police Community Relations Celebration at the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon on July 30, 2021.

For five consecutive months now, the city police station has also consistently ranked number 1 in regionwide Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (Uper).

Julieta P. Ran~eses, National Police Commission regional director, said the award and recognition manifest the exemplary performance and excellent accomplishment of the City of the San Fernando Police Station on police community relations programs, projects, activities, and other best practices, including Covid-19 response activities.

“These are accomplishments which have greatly contributed to the overall peace and development initiatives of the Philippine National Police,” Rañeses said.

Clark thanked the regional office for the appreciation and recognition given to the entire police station. He also expressed his gratitude to the local government of San Fernando through the able leadership of Mayor Edwin Santiago.

“Thank you for the usual support that you have extended to us. We will give back the honor to the public by giving more of what we do best, to serve and protect. Para sa Bayan po ito,” Clark said.

For his part, Santiago commended Clark and the city police department for their “hard work and consistent dedication to maintain peace and order in the community despite Covid-19 threats.” (PR)
