THREE-term Senator Loren Legarda is pushing to provide one computer tablet per student for the approximate 26 million students in the country who do not have the gadget in their schooling.

Legarda made the statement after visiting former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in Lubao, Pampanga for the latter's birthday celebration and during the UniTeam rally in Mexico, Pampanga.

She said the gadget provision to young students shall be one of her priority once she gets elected for the Senate in the May 2022 elections.

She also emphasized the need of young school goers to be technologically updated in their studies.

Aside from the tablets, she is bent on enhancing livelihood programs down the grassroots as mandated by the laws she initiated during her previous years as a Senator and she will initiate further once elected.

Legarda, who is currently vying for a Senate comeback, also vowed to continue her advocacies, programs and projects for the environment and climate change. (DPL)
