SHS students get financial assistance

Ian Ocampo Flora

A TOTAL of 462 senior high school (SHS) students taking the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand at Pampanga High School received P2,500 each from the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

They are among 18,343 SHS students across the province who are set to receive similar assistance from the capitol.

The Provincial Library, along with the Provincial Treasurer’s Office and Third District Board Member Rosve Henson, led the distribution of assistance at the Bren Z. Guiao Sports Complex Thursday, June 10, 2021.

The aid distributed is part of Governor Dennis Pineda's Emergency Shelter Assistance program.

While the assistance is not big, Henson said it is enough to inspire the students to pursue their studies. He added that it is the responsibility of not just the parents to send their children to school but also of the whole community.
