SM City Clark distributes 1,000 Christmas packs

PREMIERE shopping mall SM City Clark recently distributed 1,000 Christmas packs to families in Angeles City and Mabalacat City.

Three villages in Angeles City including Barangay Amsic, Barangay Pampang, Barangay North Cutud received 500 Christmas or "kalinga" packs, while in Mabalacat City, Sitio Turbina in Barangay Tabun and Sitio Sulput in Barangay Mabiga, received the other 500 packs.

The Christmas kalinga donation drive is a joint project of SM Supermalls, SM Retail, SM Markets, and SM Foundation to provide essential items to residents and families affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and recent natural calamities.

"Christmas is the time for solidarity and generosity. After experiencing great adversities this year, this is the time for us to give hope and reach out to those in need. It is through our converged effort that we can make this possible," SM Supermalls President Steven Tan said in a statement.

Present during the distribution in Angeles and Mabalacat cities were Engineer Junias Eusebio, SM Supermalls Assistant Vice President for Operations in North Luzon; SM Supermalls Regional Operations Manager North IV Andrea Maglangbayan; SM City Clark Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni; and SM City Clark Assistant Mall Managers Ronald Mendoza and Marianne Grace Miranda.

The distribution in the two cities was in coordination with their respective City Welfare and Development Offices and partnership with 540 Air Base Group in Basa Air Base headed by Captain Jerson Sadsad.

The SM Group has distributed over 70,000 food packs across the country.
