RESIDENTS of Sta. Ana can now avail themselves of free legal aid offered by the local government.

Mayor Norberto Gamboa launched this month the free legal assistance program available every Wednesday at 1 p.m. onwards.

Gamboa said they are inviting a legal officer to provide free consultation to residents who cannot afford a private lawyer.

He said the program aims to give fair access to legal rights to all residents, especially indigents.

“This is part of our goal of providing holistic services to our townmates. We understand the importance of having legal knowledge to prevent discrimination and abuse that’s why we came up of this program,” he said.

Residents interested to avail of the program are encouraged to book their slots by contacting 0977-622-3698 to avoid long queuing.
