A 33-YEAR-OLD man was arrested by local authorities in Masantol for his alleged involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs.

The town's chief of police, Major Elias Tait, said the suspect identified only with his alias "Tamogi" was arrested in a buy-bust operation launched in Barangay Bebe Anac recently.

Tait said the suspect reportedly sold a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to a poseur buyer during the operation spearheaded by the Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit.

Confiscated from the suspect was the sachet of shabu, the P500 marked money used in the operation, and his other personal belongings.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Masantol police station, as he faces charges for violation of Republic Act 1165, or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
