THE Caut Farmers Field School Marketing (CFFSM) Cooperative received 52 sacks of Amigo Planters Fertilizer from the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Central Luzon early this month in Barangay Caut, La Paz, Tarlac.

According to CFFSM Cooperative Chairman Alex Cancio, he is very grateful that their cooperative was included in the DA program, where besides fertilizers, they also received seeds and some plant machinery.

Cancio also encouraged farmers to register with the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture or RSBSA to receive assistance from the Department.

Such fertilizers are part of the pilot application of the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation or F2C2 Program which aims to adapt farming methods to facilitate marketing, increase production and income of farmers.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
