THE Tarlac Police Provincial Office (TPPO) and its partner-agencies extended Thursday, February 27, aid and government services to the community of indigenous peoples (IPs) in Sitio Sapang Kawayan, Capas town.

About 65 families benefited from TPPO’s Inter-agency Expanded Caravan that offered various services such as free medical, dental and eye consultation, PhilHealth registration, driver’s license registration, distribution of groceries and slippers, free reading glasses, free medicines, free seeds for farming and free animal vaccination.

In his message, TPPO Provincial Director Police Colonel David Poklay explained that government agencies and private organizations have converged to provide frontline services to people living in remote areas.

“We are here to make government services accessible and available to your community. The government is always working for you and we, the uniformed personnel, are your allies,” he stressed.

Also, Poklay underscored that the Police Community Affairs Development Unit is always open for the residents’ complaints, problems and concerns.

“The Philippine National Police is not just for crime prevention and solutions. We are ready to listen to your concerns and take actions to solve the problems in your community,” he said.

In behalf of the beneficiaries, Tribal Chieftain Petronila Muñoz expressed her thanks to everyone who devoted their time and effort in reaching out to their community.

“Upon seeing all of you, I could not contain my tears because I am so grateful that the government has delivered its services right at our doorsteps,” she stated.

Other stakeholders who participated in the caravan include Provincial Mobile Force Company, 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, Department of Agriculture, Commission on Elections, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency.

Also, Land Transportation Office, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Tarlac Provincial Hospital, PhilHealth, Tarlac Provincial Veterinary Office, Tarlac Provincial Eye Center, Jelexie Bakeshop and Indian Nirmal Temple Paniqui. (PIA-Central Luzon)
