A TEENAGER from Macabebe town, Pampanga recently tested positive for Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The patient was a 13-year-old boy from Barangay Sta. Cruz, Macabebe. He was asymptomatic upon getting positive results from the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test conducted by this town's Rural Health Unit I.

The patient has no known comorbidity but was reportedly exposed to his mother, who first contracted the virus.

The kid along with other infected family members were isolated to prevent the further spread of the virus.

As of Friday, the local government recorded a total of 399 cases of Covid-19, in which 41 were active, 326 recovered and 34 died.
