Tomasian elderly get P100,000

NINETEEN senior citizens from the seven villages of Sto. Tomas town recently received cash incentives for reaching at least 90 years of age.

Mayor Gloria “Ninang” Ronquillo led the distribution of the P100,000 incentive to the elderly by virtue of an ordinance passed by the Pampanga provincial board.

In Barangay Sto. Niño, three senior citizens namely Virginia Gomez, Ines Regala and Jose Yco; while two elderly from Barangay Sto. Rosario Pau namely Patricia Zablan and Alejandra Carreon; and two from San Bartolome namely Nicolas Calma and Natividad Lacsina received the said cash incentive.

Four elderly from Barangay San Vicente namely Avelina Deang, Carmen Garcia, Pacencia Nunag and Ernesto Naguit; six from San Matias village namely Aniceta David, Marcosa Blanco, Magdalena Mercado, Gabina Balingad, Norberto Balingad and Jesus Pineda; and one each from Poblacion and Sapa villages namely Elena Nucum and Purification Manalese, respectively, were also given grants.

Ronquillo said cash incentives were given to the senior citizens reaching at least 90 years old in recognition of their contributions to society.

She urged the elderly to continue living a healthy lifestyle so they can enjoy longer lives with their families

She also praised the families of senior citizens for taking care of the elderly which helped for them in reaching such ages.
