A UNITED States (US) fugitive wanted for child pornography-related charges was arrested last Saturday, March 16, in Angeles City, in a joint operation by Philippine and US law enforcement authorities

The successful operation was a result of close cooperation between US Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Manila Police District/Special Operations Unit (SOU), and the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI)/Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).

HSI Manila, HSI Las Vegas, the PNP/SOU and the BI/FSU coordinated the successful arrest of Joel Aquino Pasay, a United States citizen.

The arrest followed a nearly two-year search for Pasay, who is a US fugitive. On May 2, 2017, Pasay was indicted in the United States District Court, District of Nevada, for violation of Title 18 US Code 2252A (a)(2), Receipt of Child Pornography. (PR)
